Apple Denies The Rumor About Working On iPhone To Android Switching Tool

Apple has denied the rumor that said they are working on an iPhone to Android switching tool application. This rumor that was posted by The Telegraph said that Apple is in a pressure from the major European telecom operator who wants a tool for anyone to switch their smartphone from iPhone to Android.

“According to a senior industry source, Apple has privately agreed to develop a simple tool to help consumers shift data such as contacts, music and photos if they move to Android. Major European telecoms operators are concerned that only a tiny fraction of customers ever move off the iPhone, in part because of the technical hassle of transferring data.”

The news that was posted on January 9 is denied by Apple spokesperson, Trudy Muller through Buzzfeed, two days after.

“There is no truth to this rumor,” Apple spokesperson Trudy Muller said in a statement to BuzzFeed News. “We are entirely focused on switching users from Android to iPhone, and that is going great.”

Last year, together with the launch of iOS 9, Apple also released the Move application to iOS, which is an Android to iPhone switching tool. They did that in order to get more Android users to switch their smartphone to iPhone. The reverse would look odd.
