Galaxy S6 will use the same 16 megapixel camera as Galaxy Note does

During the last weeks, we were bombed with rumors and speculation (more than usual), regarding the next Samsung flagship: Samsung Galaxy S6.

A new series of rumors began circulating online in recent days confirms that the imminent Galaxy S6 will integrate the same capture sensor that is found in the Note 4.

Since the main camera of a smartphone is becoming more important every year, many have wondered to what direction will Samsung Galaxy S6 focus to. Initially, we were thinking that we will see a 20 megapixel high end sensor, but not long ago we had some conflicting information on the same subject. Now, it is more likely that the South Korean giant will introduce a 16 megapixel camera in its new high-end smartphone.

Sony IMX240 is the name of the 16 megapixel sensor that will be used, and if it sounds familiar, it is because Samsung used in the past. Those from Sammobile were among the first to confirm that Galaxy S6 will benefit from an identical camera as the Galaxy Note 4.

However, since the launch of Note 4 and until now, Samsung has slightly modified the camera and the lens system to improve performance in low light conditions. In practice, there are only a few days left until we will find out how big the Changes List will be and what the South Koreans have prepared for us.
