Here’s the Rundown on the iPad Pro 2 and the MacBook Air 2017

Apple hasn’t officially said anything about the iPad Pro 2 and the MacBook Air  2017, but fans are already looking forward to these devices. Some are even wondering which model best fits their needs and budget! If you’re one of the latter, we’ve made this guide to help you get started.

Release Date

There has been no official word from Apple about the release of these two devices, so it’s up to fans to guess when they would be available. According to rumors, the iPad Pro 2 will most likely be launched during the 2017 Worldwide Developers Conference, which will be hosted by Apple and take place on June.

Reports also say that the MacBook Air 2017 will be released later this year. According to some Apple fans, this is supported by the fact that Best Buy had slashed $200 off the current 13.3-inch MacBook Air, taking its price from $999 to $799 (although this offer is no longer available on Best Buy’s website). This can be taken as a sign that Apple wants to sell the remaining units of the current MacBook Air to make way for a new model. However, there are also rumors that Apple is canning the MacBook Air line and replacing it with MacBook Pro laptops, which have recently received the much-awaited Touch Bar feature.

Features

The iPad Pro 2 is said to have two size variants: a smaller 10.5-inch model and a bigger 12.9-inch unit. There are also reports that there are actually three variants, the third of which is a 9.7-inch model that’s similar to an iPad Mini. The iPad Pro 2 is said to have slimmer bezels or might even become bezel-less, allowing for bigger actual screen size and a more streamlined profile.

The tablet will reportedly be powered by Apple’s latest A10X chip and have 3 GB of RAM, with internal storage options of 32 GB, 128 GB, and 256 GB. It’s expected to have a 12 MP back camera and a 5 MP front camera and might even feature an Apple Pencil 2.

Some tech experts are expecting the iPad Pro 2 to run on iOS 11, which will make it fast and powerful. There’s also the chance that the tablet will be built without the home button, which would be replaced by a Touch ID sensor.

On the other hand, there has not been much speculation about the MacBook Air 2017, perhaps because of the fact that people can’t really pinpoint where Apple is heading with the Air product line. However, there are some rumors that the laptop will be powered by an Intel Kaby Lake processor and will have a Retina display plus several USB Type-C ports.

Final Thoughts

It’s important to remember that all of these are just speculations; until we get an official statement from Apple, we can’t really say for sure what features the iPad Pro 2 and MacBook Air 2017 will have and when they would be released. Take these info with a grain of salt and use them as a guide while we wait for official details.
