To buy the bits, open Twitch and choose the channel you want. Once you are there, click or tap (if you are using the app on your smartphone) Get bits. Purchase the package of bits you want and pay for it. You can use the bits to cheer for the streamer when you get them. To do that, type cheer followed by the number of bits you want to donate. For example, cheer500, and then you will donate 500 bits to the streamer.
Be careful when typing these because you can make a mistake and accidentally add more bits. You will only have 5 seconds to correct it. After that, the cheer will be complete, and you won’t be able to get the bits back.
When it comes to streamers, once they get bits from their supporters, they won’t be able to withdraw them right away. They have to reach $100 to be able to do that. Of course, Twitch will take a certain percentage for each donation. There is also an option to donate directly to the streamer using PayPal or your credit card.
