When activating this feature you will see the warning notice that points out this feature is designed to be used as the parenting aid and it is not a substitute for human care-giving. Other two important things.

#1 “This function works best when your phone is placed within 1m from the baby and with no background noise”

#2 “Do not leave your baby in a home or a place unattended while using this function. The baby should not be left in a house or building alone, even if you are monitoring your baby.”

Activate baby crying detector on your Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

To enable this feature, follow the steps below:

  • From the Home screen navigate to Settings
  • Scroll down and tap Accessibility (located under Personal section)
  • Click on Hearing
  • Next, click on Sound detectors
  • To enable “Baby crying detector” just move the switch next to its name
  • The warning notice will appear, tap Confirm
  • A new window with additional information about the feature will pop up, tap Enable.

The baby crying detector is now activated.
